Sandhills ATC Gifted a Home!

Caddell, McKinney, and Cambria execute the deed transfer
Sandhills ATC's new Staff Residential Home

Carthage, NC- For over a year, a house located in Carthage, NC has been occupied by the Lopez family who relocated from California to serve on staff. In 2020, Gib and Jesica Lopez, along with their two children, joined the team as Gib serves as worship leader and in direct care. “Without the option to offer this couple adequate housing suitable for their growing family, it would have been impossible to bring them to North Carolina,” said Russ Cambria, CEO of the organization. The home formerly owned by New Covenant Fellowship Church has officially been gifted to Sandhills ATC and will continue to serve as a residence for staff families! Pastor Lee McKinney, when thanked for the generous donation by Cambria replied, “Well, this is what Kingdom business is all about. We help each other!” Cambria was moved as was Larry Caddell, Chairman of the Board, both in attendance as Pastor McKinney signed the deed over to the organization at Thigpen & Jenkins Law Office in Southern Pines.  Mickey Brown, CEO of Thigpen & Jenkins, and a friend of the organization, contributed to the costs of the deed transfer, attorney fees, etc. keeping the transaction free of charge for the ministry!

As the organization continues to grow, Cambria and the leadership team, along with the board of directors, look forward to expanding the ministry in different ways. One main goal is to eventually house and help women. The organization  also recently began offering programming to those who cannot (or will not) attend the 9-month residential program. The team started offering small groups each week where attendees journey through the ATC curriculum. These groups are currently held in the Greater Charlotte Metro area and also in Fayetteville. Support groups will soon begin in Raleigh. Caddell offered his thoughts after this morning’s deed transfer by reiterating that he believes the organization’s best years are ahead! “God is good to us and it’s exciting to see what lies ahead for this great ministry. We’ve been here for over 35 years and I sense we are about to experience a new move of God,” said Caddell.
